Nd:Yag crystal

Nd:YAG (Neodimium Doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) has been widely used laser crystal for solid-state laser. Its laser parameters are a good compromise between the strengths and weaknesses of its competition. Nd:YAG crystals are used in all types of solid-state lasers systems-frequency-doubled continuous wave, high-energy Q-switched , etc.. Compared with others laser crystals, its fluorescence lifetime is twice more than Nd:YVO4, and thermal conductivity is also better.

Our standard production of Nd:YAG laser rods includes:

  • Nd dopant concentrations from 0.3 up to 1.3 at. % of Nd/Y
  • Rod diameters from 2 mm up to 12 mm
  • Rod lengths up to 160 mm
  • Barrel surface fine ground, polished or grooved
  • Perpendicular or tilted ends up to Brewster angle
  • Polishing according to DIN and MIL standards
  • A wide variety of anti-reflection, partial or high reflection coatings
  • AR coatings with R < 0.2 % and the damage threshold higher than 15 J/cm2 for 10 ns pulses
